Mountain Lion

The mountain lion is sometimes called a cougar, panther or puma. They are a predator species that feed on deer, elk and other game. Mountain lions stay far away from humans and humans should stay far away from mountain lions. Also in the cat family, both lynx and bobcats live in Jasper National Park.

"Better yet, if called by a panther,
Don’t anther." - Ogden Nash
